Icons

A fundamental aspect of the Parcel Force- Design Bridge Brief is the iconography of the brand identity this will enable a more approachable feel to the brand and will double up as a new way of categorising courier services.

  • Vipnet is one of the largest Croatian telecommunication companies and on a side note... they are also a subsidiary of "Telekom Austria group".

These icons represent their kind of products and visual messages across all types of media and communication channels (TV, Mobile data, Mobile calls, Internet and Fixed line). Whole iconography has been done in coproduction with kind folks from Grey Group (Croatia).

We just hope this icons will get to see Vienna Prater so stay tuned for our instagrams ;)

This set of icons gives a heavily corporate feel to the project, but still enable the personality of the brand to be obvious.. it also shows how icons can be used to develop a brands identity. The icons will form the basis for the parcel force brief. whilst enabling the icons to act as the identity of the brand. The icons will also encourage the audience to familiarise with the brand.

The use of colour with the icons used for the development of the parcel force brand will also help to encourage interaction as well and playfulness.

The simplistic nature of the these icons have allowed the visual image to be effective and minimalist. The idea of minimalism being most effective when designing icons is correct.. as long as the communication is not jeopardised.

This is an example of overtly corporate iconography, something that would not be appropriate for this brief.. the complex nature of the icons also overcomplicate the communication.

  • The rounded nature of these icons also enable a more friendly feel to the final resolution.. something that i will try and emulate in my own practice. The simplicity also enables pleasing final resolution.

This is an example of well execute simple icons that communicate well. the white on coloured background also gives a sense of identity.
