The homepage for the initial web design needs to push the identity of the brand.. as well as incorporating a strong image based appearance to create a sense of nostalgia with the person interacting with the website.. nostalgia in the sense of the 'holiday feel' something that can be universally related to.
The design of the website focus on the natural aspect of the brand with the wooden backdrop to the web site, from a visual perspective this gives a sense of intrest to the page.. combined with the brand green pushes the natural feel.
The outline of the page is based on a boarding card..which is obviously relavant to airline branding.
Here you can see the wooden back drop of the brand as well as how the brand colour is applied through out the web site. As well as the boarding pass idea for the margins of the web page.
The use of drop shadow on the web site gives a depth to it that makes the end visual more interesting.. the use of the login details means loyalty to the brand will be rewarded by V points.
The main purpose of the website is to book flights etc as a result the website need to be easily usable with a basic frid format.. this creates this easy usability.
